Patient Visitors

All patients are strongly encouraged to have an adult
family member or friend accompany them to Evergreen
Surgical Center. Due to space limitations, however, we
ask that only one or two visitors be allowed.
Minors (under 18 years) must be accompanied by a
parent or legal guardian who is authorized to sign
the consent form and remain within the Evergreen
Surgical Center facility until the patient is discharged.
Legal guardian should bring proof of guardianship.
Every patient receiving a general or regional
anesthetic or sedation of any kind will
require the assistance of a responsible adult
for transportation home and 24-hour care
thereafter. Surgery will not be performed unless
these arrangements have been made. If you are
receiving a local anesthetic without sedation, you may
not need an escort.
Patients undergoing cataract surgery will require an
escort no matter what type of anesthetic was used.
